- The Campaign Trail -

Barack Obama's campaign ad showed that the past eight years weren't so great for the "wassup guys". Many issues that were brought to light in this ad include, the loss of homes, unemployment, the war in Iraq, health care, bankruptcy and natural disasters. In the first video, the men seemed content, relaxed and unworried about issues at that moment, however, now they were going through problems that weren’t being solved. They all used to have nice homes with furniture around them, and in the campaign video, they had close to nothing left in their houses. To add on, one man was in Iraq risking his life in the war. An example used in the video to inform voters of the health care issue, one of the men needed pain killers for his injuries but he couldn’t get any. Obama’s message to the people was “change”. He promised to his best to resolve current problems in the United States if he was elected. I think Barack Obama created an effective and unique campaign ad that made it easier for American’s to relate. Using humor in the video was definitely a good idea. If I was able to vote in the United States, I would've certainly voted for Barak Obama.
